Supplements can be very beneficial for the body, especially if a person is lacking in a vitamin or mineral. And, they may help wound and scar healing, as well. In fact, I take alpha lipoic acid, Hawaiian Astaxanthin, and curcumin, all with great results.
Still, first check with your doctor before taking supplements, especially if you are on medication or recovering from an injury. Some supplements can interfere with prescribed meds and/or perform like a blood thinner (which could ultimately delay healing).
