Yes, I agree.

I think another important feature to support is the refraining of judgment. Sometimes we look at an individual and immediately believe we know a lot about the person's lifestyle: I am guilty of this as much as the next person. Occasionally our instincts are right, but sometimes they are wrong.

Naturally, we should never put ourselves in harm's way. Still, when the situation is not threatening, there is every reason to be kind and supportive. I sometimes think we fail to see that internal scars can be even more painful than visible ones.

Our words, actions, and deeds can heal scars that live inside other people, but they can also cause them.

What you have said makes perfect sense, Cher. It is pretty unfortunate that certain people seem to get some type of enjoyment out of making other individuals feel bad about themselves. However, when this happens, the person being cruel is the one who looks bad, not the victim.

We only have one life on earth, so why not live it supporting one another? The trees will look greener, the sky will appear brighter, the ocean will seem bluer, and each day will feel happier. There are many unexpected benefits to being kind besides the most obvious.

Until it is our time to move on to whatever comes after this (which I know is beautiful), we are all in this world together. Therefore, it makes sense that we should be supportive of one another. And, it is especially important to be supportive of people who have challenges, whether the challenge be emotional, physical, or visible (e.g., scars).

Clearly, it is not wrong to ask questions, as long as the questions are coming from a good place. After all, we are curious creatures. However, if the questions are meant to be hurtful, redirect your energy. Without a doubt, it is never acceptable to intentionally hurt someone.
