About a year ago I believe I had an ingrown hair from my beard and it caused it to get infected and created scar tissue, now there is no hair growth in that area which is a little larger than the size of a quarter.  Ideally I would like for the redness and scar tissue to go away and hair to start growing again like normal (as I normally wear a very short beard). I am afraid there may still be an ingrown hair under the tissue but I went to a dermatologist and he did not think so. He did injections of kenalog two weeks apart which helped with hair growth but nothing for the redness/scar. I have another dermatology appointment with a different office in June but I would like information from the community on possible natural things to try before my appointment.
