[br]Interestingly, stars with scars seem to lend a "stamp of approval" to the marks. Yet, we can all accomplish this if we rise above the superficial surface and learn to accept outward imperfections, especially in ourselves. I am in no way close to achieving that objection. Even so, I aspire to it. [br][br]I must admit, I sometimes question why I allow other people's interpretation of attractiveness to help fashion my own. Maybe I am being too hard on myself, but I just wish I could be more comfortable with the scars I see . [br]

Wow, that is a fascinating story; I never knew the reason behind Seal's facial scars. He is a very handsome man, and I do not believe the scars detract from his appearance. [br][br]Sadly, I read somewhere that Seal and his wife are separating. I am not in to famous media hype, but it did appear as if Seal and his wife were on solid footing. [br][br]Relationships seem so transient today; it is refreshing when married people rise above adversity. Still, no one ever knows what truly goes on in a household except the occupants. Therefore, I reserve comment.

[p]One actor with very obvious acne scars I really like is Laurence Fishburn. It seems like he, though he could probably pay for very extensive scar treatment has not chosen to do so. Needless to say he is successful in what he does and hired because of his skills, not his appearance. Well, he is not trying to win a beauty contest. Here is web site for more info http://www.laurence-fishburne.com/container.php?page=work[/p][p]I have taken the image from his web site. Here is the link to the image location http://www.laurence-fishburne.com/container.php?page=gallery[/p][p][/p]

Just learned that the singer Seal's distinctive half moon-shaped scars came from a childhood disease, Lupus. The particular strain which Seal suffered from- Discoid lupus erythematosus- causes facial blistering, which when ruptured cause deep scarring. But they're not the result of ritual scarification, being bitten on the face by a dog or wolf, getting punched while wearing glasses, or being involved in a motorcycle accident. Seal himself says that after his trip to India he saw them as an omen of good fortune!

So he clearly wears them proudly!
